Elevation & Transformation of ...

                      ...Access to a Great Education

Need-Based Student Scholarships

For 153 years, Claflin University has been committed to giving

students' access to a first-class higher education, regardless

of their socio-economic status or background.

It should come as no surprise, that U.S. News and World Report

ranked Claflin third in Top Performers on Social Mobility for

Regional Colleges in the South.

Here is a snapshot of our student body:

  • 96% receive some type of financial assistance.
  • 80% receive the Pell Grant.
  • 63% are eligible for the South Carolina State Tuition Grant.
  • Most are first-generation college students.

A Claflin education is a pathway to break generational

cycles of poverty and despair.

Even so, staying in school all the way to graduation can be a real

financial hardship for students and their families, who may be

struggling just to make ends meet. Having to drop out of school

for lack of funds is heartbreaking. Scholarship support helps fill this

gap and provides peace of mind. It allows the best and brightest

students from across the nation to enroll at Claflin,

remain laser-focused on their education,

and earn their well-deserved diplomas.

Are you Claflin Confident?

Thank you for your partnership!

With Panther Pride,

Dr. Dwaun J. Warmack
